Several surgeons debuted spine devices and other techniques during the first quarter from cervical discs to personalized implants.
Note: This is not an exhaustive list.
1. Randy Dryer, MD, Curiteva’s CMO, performed the first clinical case using the company’s Inspire standalone ALIF system.
2. Armen Khachatryan, MD, performed the first U.S. case with Dymicron’s Triadyme-C cervical disc replacement implant.
3. Claudio Tatsui, MD, a neurosurgeon in Houston, completed the first global case with icotec’s CMORE CT spine system.
4. Colin Haines, MD, performed the world’s first Bertolotti resection using augmented reality guidance.
5. Dr. Ardeshir Ardeshiri performed the first case using NGMedical GmbH’s Move-P motion preserving lumbar spine system. Move-P is a pedicle screw-based system designed to top off a spinal fusion. The implant was debuted in human patients as part of a multicenter trial in Germany.
